This was truly an experience I wish everyone could share. Tina is amazing. Soft, funny, an excellent teacher who makes you feel really comfortable and open to all she has to offer, which is much.
If you ever want to do the best thing you can do for your life, it is to come and experience Tina’s ideal retreats (and her classes too). She has a way of instinctively knowing what you need, to come back to your true self. A beautiful Spring Awakening guaranteed.
...she is truly an inspiration. She is not just a yoga instructor, she embodies yoga in so many ways. That gives a student confidence to trust in her teachings. From her choice of music (Garth Stevenson!), to her poetry, to her rituals, (like tearing up magazine pictures of people in impossible yoga poses!) and her voice...all these, in addition to her ENERGY! make me want more and more! She has a way of picking up on issues we have and making the WHOLE class feel as if she’s teaching with them in mind. She is a very conscious person, giving much thought to all she does! This, in combination with a gentle attitude, (but yet very wise and very strong) makes for a much admired woman!
Her classes are welcoming and have a calming effect on her students. I know I will be in a great head space after the class is over. I feel like the stars align and work their magic after I have been Tina-fied. Some other thoughts: Tina is innovative, thoughtful and thought provoking, fun. Classes are tailored to meet each students needs. She is a great communicator and open to new ideas, very creative and imaginative. I always feel like there are endless possibilities when we are together.
What Tina brings to the table is an amazing calmness of spirit. I always feel safe and loved with her. She is very patient and open. She also brings tremendous passion in her presence, both for what I’m doing doing as well as for her own quest for self-understanding. She is a wonderful teacher because of all these qualities.
The things that impress me the most about Tina Lear are her encouraging, non-threatening, non-judgmental manner, her calming presence (which reminds me to release the day and be here now in this moment), and her love of and expertise in yoga, mediation and related studies. I really enjoy her class, and look forward to Wednesdays.
I always knew I would benefit from Yoga, but I didn’t realize how much it would MEAN to me until I actually started practicing it. I am profoundly lucky that I just happen to live close to Tina and she could accommodate my schedule—and thus, my Yoga path began. Tina is a patient, gentle instructor, with an eye for precision and a passion for compassion. She has taught me the art of not “over-doing it” which has been embedded in my runner’s mind for years.
Tina has an abundance of energy and excitement that she brings to the class that we all benefit from. She has an optimistic attitude and encourages positive thoughts and actions that benefit one’s health, mental and physical. I have clearly benefited from her patience and thoughtful teaching as I first began my yoga practice. Finally, she demonstrates a healthy positive approach by her amazing physical health. She looks fabulous; and it’s wonderful to know that we can age strong, healthy and confident—that we can keep our bodies strong.
I am a woman in my 50’s with some physical pains and limitations. I am also a mom of a young adult diagnosed with autism, seizure disorder and PTSD (experience from hurricane sandy). Recently, I was introduced to Tina Lear. We set up an introductory free trial session for the following week. Tina walked into my home like a breath of fresh air. All positivity, calm and compassion. She first asked abt any pain or discomfort I feel; and from there she tailored the next hour to my needs.
